Message anyone on WhatsApp or Telegram without saving their number

Type a phone number and the chat opens. Nothing is added to your contacts, and the number never leaves this page — everything is calculated in your browser and stored nowhere.

+1

No leading zero, no plus sign. Spaces, brackets and dashes are cleaned up automatically.

The text is pre-filled in the input field — you still press send yourself.

We never store the number. The link is built inside your own browser: nothing is sent to a server, written to a database or kept in browser storage. The contact is not added to your phone book or to your messenger contact list.

How it works

  1. Choose the messenger — WhatsApp or Telegram.
  2. Pick the country code and type the number without a leading zero.
  3. Optionally write your message — it will be pre-filled in the chat.
  4. Press «Open chat». On a phone the app opens, on a computer the web version does.

From there everything is normal: you write from your own account and the recipient sees an ordinary chat. The only difference is that their number never entered your contacts.

Why bother

Every number saved «just this once» stays on your phone forever. It syncs to the cloud, shows up in autocomplete, feeds social network suggestions and quietly turns your address book into a graveyard of couriers, plumbers, one-off buyers and marketplace sellers.

This tool takes the other route: the chat opens through a direct link and your address book stays clean. Particularly handy when you need to:

Message a WhatsApp number without saving the contact

The tool uses WhatsApp’s own official click-to-chat format — wa.me/number, documented by WhatsApp itself. No third-party app, no extension, no access to your conversations: the link simply opens the chat.

If WhatsApp is installed, the chat opens in the app. If not, it opens in the web version — which requires WhatsApp Web to be linked to your phone already. The «Open in browser» button forces the web version, which is what you want on a desktop computer.

If WhatsApp says «Phone number shared via URL is invalid»

Message a Telegram number without adding the contact

Telegram opens a chat through a link of the form t.me/+number. This works on one condition: the recipient allows people to find them by phone number in their privacy settings. That setting lives on their side and cannot be bypassed — it is how the messenger is designed.

If the chat does not open, the person has hidden their number. Use their @username instead — switch to the «By @username» tab in the form above. That method always works.

Note: Telegram does not support pre-filled text in a private chat link, which is why the message field is hidden on the Telegram tab. You will type the message inside the chat.

A permanent link to your own chat

The «Copy link» button gives you a permanent address for your own conversation. Put it on your website, in your profile bio, in an email signature, on a business card or inside a QR code — and people reach you in one tap, without saving your number or retyping it. For a business that is a much shorter path than «saw the number → wrote it down → searched the messenger».

Frequently asked questions

Do you store the numbers people enter?

No. This page is entirely static: the number is handled by a script inside your browser and the link is built on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, written to a database, kept in browser storage or passed to third parties. Close the tab and nothing remains.

Will the number appear in my contacts?

No — neither in your phone book nor in your WhatsApp or Telegram contact list. The chat opens as a conversation with an unknown number, and you can still save it manually later if you want to.

Do I need an account? Is it free?

No sign-up, no cost, no limit on how many chats you open.

Will the recipient know I used a third-party tool?

No. The message comes from your personal account and the chat is indistinguishable from any other. The tool only builds a link and opens the conversation.

Does it work on a computer?

Yes. On desktop use «Open in browser» and the chat opens in WhatsApp Web or Telegram Web. WhatsApp Web requires your phone to be linked via QR code in the app first.

Why will Telegram not open the chat by number?

The recipient has disabled phone-number lookup in their privacy settings. That cannot be bypassed. Use the «By @username» tab instead.

Can it send the message for me, without opening the chat?

No, deliberately. No third-party tool can send messages on your behalf without access to your account — and this one asks for no such access. It takes you to the conversation; you press send.
